Important Patient Care Update in Ocala and The Villages
Over the next few weeks, our three clinics around Ocala and The Villages will experience a temporary reduction in schedule and capacity as we go through a provider transition. Dr. Thomas L. Johnson II will be leaving our practice. After his long-standing dedication to allergy care in our community, Dr. Johnson will be making a career change. He will be available to see patients through September 19.
While we actively recruit a new allergist, Board-Certified Allergists from other clinics within the AllerVie Health Network will be overseeing our Advanced Practice Providers to ensure you continue to receive the best care.

Important Patient Care Update in Ocala and The Villages
Temporary Reduced Capacity Due to Upcoming Provider Transition & Departure of Dr. Thomas L. Johnson.
Over the next few weeks, our three clinics around Ocala and The Villages will experience a temporary reduction in schedule and capacity as we go through a provider transition. Dr. Thomas L. Johnson II and Josh Jurczak, NP will both be leaving our practice. After his long-standing dedication to allergy care in our community, Dr. Johnson will be making a career change. He will be available to see patients through September 19, and Josh’s last day with AllerVie Health was July 19.
We’ve taken early action to ensure you have a seamless transition of care with the recent hiring and soon onboarding of two additional Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to our team, Amy Klimek and JoAnna Jensen.
While we actively recruit a new allergist, Board-Certified Allergists from other clinics within the AllerVie Health Network will be overseeing our Advanced Practice Providers to ensure you continue to receive the best care.
Our top priority is your care and continuing to meet your allergy and asthma needs. We’re focused on rebuilding our care team in the Ocala/Villages area with talented providers, ensuring that our clinics return to regular hours and capacity as quickly as possible. These transitions are common in healthcare as providers retire or make life changes, but we remain thoroughly committed to serving you to the best of our ability during this season.
During the reduced capacity from July to September, patients can schedule appointments (both new and follow-up) at any other AllerVie Florida location. You can schedule an appointment in one of our other clinics, while maintaining the convenience of receiving your injections locally – just be sure to inform us of what you’d like to do, and we will help accommodate your needs.
Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in our care. We are here to support you through this transition and ensure you receive the best possible care.

Local Pollen Levels
How to read pollen count
Pollen and mold levels are determined by the National Allergy Bureau and have been translated into four levels based on the counts for the majority of days and the averages over the years.
A low pollen count means that only people who are extremely sensitive to pollen and mold will have allergy symptoms.
A moderate pollen count means more people will have allergy symptoms.
A high pollen count means that most people with a sensitivity to pollen and/or molds can experience allergy symptoms.
A very high pollen count means that almost everyone who has an allergy to molds and pollen will experience symptoms.
