“We LOVE Dr. Alle! She is the perfect combination of professional and personal. She looks at the science of “why” and medical plans rooted in proven efficacy while tailoring treatments to be realistic, easily manageable and agreeable to all parties involved (herself as the doctor, the parents who provide the daily care and the patient who must ultimately receive the care and is most effected by it). We have been to numerous allergists, who were confident in their field, but were still not the right fit, because they lacked the most important element: what is best for the individual patient. One Allergist we went to wanted to experiment with the latest and greatest things because they were new gadgets, and not necessarily because they were what our daughter needed. One Allergist initially refused to follow up with bloodwork to determine a food allergy because the skin test was not reactive. Only after pleading and begging and showing photos of her allergic reaction in an ER to the food in question did they allow her to be tested. Not only was she allergic , but very severely to egg. Had I not insisted on additional testing they didn’t want to do, my daughter could be dead! Another Allergist worked in the same practice as Dr. Alle. He was very good in following all the protocols and rules, but we came to an impasse because he had wanted to food challenge my daughter at a time that I felt was not safe to do so. Serendipitously, on a follow-up visit with that doctor, we wound up instead being placed with Dr.Alle as a happen chance of scheduling. She looked at the numbers and then at my daughter told me the magic words that I wanted to hear: “I have two young children too. And as a mother, if I was in your position, I would not want to take such a risk.” Demonstrating that human compassion and ability to cut through to recognizing that each patient has a unique set of circumstances that require use of critical thinking and tailoring to a specific person’s needs is what won us over. We live in Fredericksburg and Dr Alle used to practice here. We saw her while she was here and when she left, rather than secure another Allergist, we chose to drive an hour out of our way to continue treatment with the best. We are so sad to hear that she will not be continuing to practice medicine at your facility. What an unfortunate loss to your practice! We will definitely be following her wherever she goes next because it would simply be crazy not to. For the sake of your community, we can only hope that the replacement you find for her at your facility is someone just as passionate and attentive as Dr. Alle has always been to us ❤️”
