Bio

Allison Freeman, MD, is a board-certified physician in allergy and immunology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. She is an experienced specialist in oral and sublingual therapy for food allergies and is passionate about helping families navigate allergies in infants and young children. For over 30 years, Dr. Freeman has specialized in the allergy field as an attending physician, clinical provider, and clinical assistant professor.

Dr. Freeman is passionate about individual patient care and has spent most of her allergy career teaching young physicians and medical students to listen for the details that make it easier to reach the correct diagnosis and then to educate the families they work with so each patient has a treatment plan that fits with their needs. She brought new food therapies to the pediatric community in Pittsburgh, PA, and in Buffalo, NY, winning a Pittsburgh Healthcare Heroes award in 2018 and the Buffalo Spree Best Doctors awards for 2021-2024. She believes in empowering patients and their families through knowledge and was awarded the Rubin Maness Humanitarian Award of the American Lung Association in North Carolina for work with children's asthma camps.

While Dr. Freeman loves continuous learning and giving back to the allergy and asthma community, she also treasures time away from the clinic and spending it with her family. On the weekends, you will find her being active, whether biking, kayaking, or playing with her granddaughter.
