Amber Nelson, CRNP

Bio

Amber Nelson, CRNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, working in collaborative practice with Dr. John Anderson. She is originally from the North Alabama area. Her nursing background includes experience in the coronary and surgical intensive care units and post-operative care units. After many years of nursing, she decided to further her career and received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She gained five years of experience practicing in Family Medicine and Pediatrics prior to joining the team at AllerVie Health. She wanted nothing more than to further her career path by specializing in allergy, asthma, and immunology with a goal to provide evidence-based and innovative treatment approaches for the best patient outcomes. She enjoys developing relationships with patients and their families while encouraging active involvement from the patient in their own care. She believes if patients are properly educated about their diagnosis, they can gain a clear understanding of their condition. Then the provider and the patient can work together as a team to develop the plan of care best suited for the patient and their needs. In her free time, Amber enjoys traveling, live music, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends.
