Joseph P. Forester, DO, FACAAI is a highly skilled and caring physician with over 20 years of experience, committed to providing excellent care in Alabama. He is specially trained and board-certified in Allergy/Immunology and Pediatrics, which allows him to understand and treat a wide range of allergy and asthma conditions. He's passionate about helping his patients find relief from allergy and asthma symptoms through personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Dr. Forester is not only known for his professional achievements but also for his dedication to his family, community, and country. He treasures his role as a proud father to six children and also speaks three languages, Spanish, Portuguese, and English. He is a native of Haleyville, AL, and returned to North Alabama after he retired from the Air Force where he served over 20 years and retired at the rank of Colonel. His leadership as a former Chief of Allergy and Immunology and Chief Medical Officer during his service in the U.S. Air Force underscores his commitment to excellence and dedication to patient care.

Dr. Forester was elected to the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) Board of Regents and is an active member of several ACAAI committees including the Working Group where he is currently writing the new Allergen Immunotherapy Practice Parameter. He is also currently serving in the leadership of the Alabama Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
